Not neutered male Rag doll 5 months old?
My little 5 month old rag doll has gone missing. Is it common for a cat this young to suddenly go missing? He normally roams around our yard, and is very curious about the front yard of which I wasn't too keen to let him out at. But is hard to keep him in. He has never ever gone missing this long before. He sleeps inside he is still a baby and are fearful what might happen to him!

A rag doll is, to be honest, not a cat.

It's normal for a male cat of that age who hasn't been neutered to go wandering. As for whether or not it's normal to go missing, well that depends, anything could have happened. Cats are often lost this way, one day they go out and just don't come back. This has happened to me with a cat I had years ago when he was still young and it also happened to my grandma not long ago with a cat that she'd had for years. They could have been run over, gotten into something they couldn't get out of or even taken by someone... who knows? Cat's are pretty smart, they know where their home is and how to get back to it, so hopefully he comes home soon! All I can suggest is to go around calling him, put up signs and contact your local shelter. All the best, hope you are reunited again soon!

He's a bit young to be wandering off in search of females, so that isn't really the likely problem. But a cat left outdoors can come to many bad ends - or he may have been picked up by someone who wanted a ragdoll, and is now in their house. Call the local shelters - or better still go in person - to see if he's been turned in there (alive or dead). Also check along the roads, as gruesome as that sounds. There are so many fates that can befall an outdoor cat - cars, dogs, predators, mean people, animal control, poisons, and people who spot a ragdoll and decide to take it for their own. When you let a cat outdoors, you accept the fact that they might not come back. It's like leaving a human toddler outside unsupervised - they just don't understand the concept of staying in the yard, and that cars will kill. Check the shelters, and put up posters about your missing cat, preferably with a picture of him. That's much more productive than posting here - we can't help you find him.
