Acoustic Triggers---by ddrum---Question about Recording?
Do you use these acoustic triggers to hook into a drum machine and choose a sound from that and then record, or are the triggers used just for the "acoustic" sound. possibly both?

If they are just straight triggers, you plug them into a brain. That is were the drum sounds are (in the brain). I would not recommed straight trigger sound. From my expereince with them, they sound better when the actual drum is miked up as well. Honestly my advice to you. No triggers. Close mike your drums, let the drum breath (ring) and gate the sh#t out of them. All studios have noise gates there.
