Electronic Snare Pad for Acoustic drums?
I have an acoustic set and I am looking to add on an electric snare for the fun of it. What would I need to do this? I was looking at this... but Musician's friend didn't do a good job of describing what else you need. Is it an add on or is that all you need? Im sure you need a module or something. So any help would be great. Thanks!

In order to utilize any electronic drums, you have to have and input device such as that triggering pad (this creates an electric signal) , a module or "brain" (which converts that electric signal to a musical sound) and speakers, either independent or run through the band's mixers. If you're just experimenting, you might look at a few pad options that combine the trigger and the brain such as You can buy the pad you listed about, but then you'll need a 1/4" plug to run from the pad to a brain like this: and then another 1/4" plug to run from the brain to an amp or mixer.

The second set is all dubstep, so I switch out my acoustic snare with an electric snare. We had Viggy, Tommy Lee's guy, program everything. He did it so when I hit the snare, it's the verse, and it will change automatically to the chorus snare.
