What are the pros and cons of pliovic and rubber goodyear air hose?
I'm looking to buy an air hose for my home garage. I have a choice between Goodyear black rubber air hose, and their orange pliovic air hose for roughly the same price from Harbor Freight. Who has used each type and/or which would you recommend? For reference, I live in Michigan, so cold use is a little bit of a consideration, although I don't really see myself doing much in the winter where I will need compressed air. Thanks in advance.

Use the orange hose. We worked along the coastline where the temps dropped below freezing. The orange plivoc hoses worked just fine. That's my answer to you.

Pliovic is PVC based Hose. As such it will be 1) stiffer than rubber hose 2) more effected by low temperatures (gets stiff/ less bendable in cold weather) however it will also be 3) slicker than rubber hose (easier to drag) 4) more resistant to some chemicals If you are using it for air service ONLY, AND the rubber hose is listed as oil resistant, then I would suggest that the rubber hoses ease of use and better cold weather properties would be a better fit.
