When did your little one start nursery/playgroup if at all?
I am a stay at home mum and have been feeling lost and depressed. I just don't feel like me any more. I am worried that I am not teaching my little one enough at home but have been feeling too depressed to take him to playgroup as I am rubbish at mixing with other mums as I feel like I have nothing to say. Anyway, I am just wondering, when did you start your toddlers in nursery or take them to playgroup? What kind of stuff should they be doing? Thanks.

I have never taken my child to anything like that, but i have worked in childcare for a while now and found most parent will start when there child is about 6 months old some times obviously that is more beneficial for the parent but i would say around 15 -18 months is a really good age

I took my son when he was about 6months old to a Library class. We met alot of stay at home mothers and eventually started hanging out with them on a weekly basis. It's excellent for the kids, and really helpful to the parents as well. You need to get out there and see that every parent has the same fears, problems as you do. If your depression continues, please seek out some medical help, since your hormones may still be a bit out of sorts since delivering. Good luck, and have fun!
