Based on consumer ratings and government standards, American Standard furnace options provide the highest in quality at the most reasonable prices.

With over 130 years of business success behind the brand, American Standard creates both oil and gas based furnace systems that are easy to operate and maintain for years of reliable performance.

One of the most important parts of owning a furnace is regularly changing or cleaning the filter since dirty filters block airflow and damage the furnaces motor. Clean filters also work to improve air quality.

You can choose to rewash a filter multiple times before replacing but because they are economically priced and usually sold in packages of two or four, most individuals just replace their filter once it becomes dirty.

American Standard offers washable filters and high efficiency filters that can collect smaller dust particles, pet dander, dust, mold and other allergens so they don't become a problem. Carbon furnace filters are capable of squashing strong chemical scents, fresh paint smell, cooking odors, pet odors and smoking odors.

No assembly is needed with American Standard filters, just slide right into furnace. You can also choose to purchase pre-filters to place over the top of existing filters. These American Standard furnace filters extend the life of filters by capturing gunk and large dust particles.

Where is the thermostat on the American Standard Furnace?
is there a seperate thermostat on the furnace itself?

No, there isn't. All you can do from the furnace itself is shut it off. If you are having problems with your furnace I would suggest calling a heating and cooling company.

The furnace is on the wall and cotrols it from there. If its not doing anything, go look at the furnace and make sure that all the panels are in place. There is a safety switch that will not let it run if a panel comes loose. There is also a light switch near it that is a power disconnect. They get turned off alot of the time by people thinking its a light switch. Hopefully its one of those two things and you wont have to call a tech.
