It's considered that a period or a concrete art is unique or transcendental when it has influence on subsequent years. Our civilization is mostly based upon ancient Greek and Rome cultures, not only arts, but also laws, science, philosophy, engineering, maths, architecture, etc. But specifically on arts, the idea of the man as the measure of all things, the golden ratio used on buildings, statues etc are characteristic of latin and greek art, and has been considered this way until even nowadays. Think about the renaissance, when Miguel Ángel or Leonardo or others looked back over the classics to create his own pictures, temples, sculptures,...and that's because in there they found a slight of perfection, a harmony that only can be found among the stars...

Personally I think the depictions of the naked human form are unique. They aren't ashamed of their bodies and they don't have unrealistic super skinny expectations of beauty either.
