Today's Discussion

Is there any kind of other model kit that is anime related besides gundam model kits?
& I don't want boat or car or anything like that. Like anime related please. :) Please make sure I can order them in usd. & no gundams please. & I'd prefure to not have to paint them but I will as a las resort. & I'd prefur models of peopl or animals.

Yes, there are TONS of anime related models. On the left side, you can see what series they carry by clicking on the "series name" button. My personal favorite are the Macross kits put out by Hasegawa, but I've also built the 3 EVAs from the original Evangelion, Patlabor Units 1, 2, and the Special Control Vehicle, and a 1/500 scale Space Battleship Yamato.

Terrific link from Boyaki, there are some lovely pre-painted animé figures there. Vinyl kits are the easiest to make and they are cheap. Star Wars vinyl kits: Anime kits: But if you're a glutton for punishment you might also look at resin "garage" kits (limited batches made by enthusiasts) which can look fantastic when they are finished but resin is a pain to work with because you have to scrape all the swarf and mold lines off and fill the holes (you have to work in a well ventilated area and you might need to wear a filter mask to protect you from the dust) and the finished model must be stored away from direct sunlight if you don't want it to melt! I wouldn't recommend them for a beginner though.
