Best Buy employees get paid hourly (not by commission).... the company set that up so that the customer doesn't get bombarded by 10 salesmen trying to get their quota. This is good and bad for the customer. Good because of the reason stated above.... Bad because the employee doesn't have to work harder, to please you, the customer. they will need to help everybody, just take a number and get in line. If you are looking to be a salesman, you need to decide whats best for you, a wage you can rely on, or if you are willing to really work hard, to work for commission (sometime a salesman can exceed their quota and bring home a great check, Other times they could have a slow week and not make as much)..... It all depends on what you can do. good luck!!!!
