Today's Discussion

How do you shoot an arrow? on the left or right of the arrow rest?
I am right handed, and have seen right-handed archers shoot the arrow with it resting on the left. I prefer to shoot it on the right of the rest. Do you HAVE TO shoot it on the left? Thanks.

just which ever way YOU feel more comfortable shooting with and are more accurate with.

Well, before they built rests into bows you would rest the arrow on your hand, and cant the bow at a slight angle to keep the arrow there. But if you but a left-handed bow with the rest on the side you want, or have an old bow with no rest, and can comfortably and accurately shoot that way, go for it.

I think you should shoot it the correct way, with the arrow on the left side of the rest. But I knew a guy who was right handed and shot from the right side of the rest. He made it work for him, so it is possible. But he was a terrible shot.
