Today's Discussion

I just purchased a high speed auto buffer in order to get the scratches out of my trunk and bumper.?
does anyone have any advise on what to apply with this buffer to get the scratches out?

just be careful that you dont get swirls in the paint or buff it too long in one area burning the paint off

check with a local body shop or detail shop for advice. You surely want PROFESSIONAL advice! Good luck to ya' mate!

More than likely a wax that you can buy at your local car parts store like Advaned Auto. That should do the trick. Good Luck!

Rubbing Compound from 3M works the best. smear on car and buff scratches out, make take 3 or 4 applications, if you can feel scratch with your fingernail, you are not going to be able to get scratch out. get detailing cloth to wipe off, make sure using correct pad, put on setting 2 or 3 on buffer

if you are not expierienced with a high speed buffer be careful and dont use rubbing compound try light scratch remover from blue choral and keep it wet dont run it dry or you will burn thru the paint follow up with polish and then wax
