Auto Creeper or Crawler?
I want to buy an auto creeper for my boyfriend, and i want to get a good brand or customize one. If i cant customize one what is the best brand to buy from? if i can customize his one auto creeper where do i do it at? To answer your questions, he did have a creeper before but it broke and he just doesnt bother buying one, he doesnt need any more tools! He does have enough space to use one.

couple questions.....first is does ur BF have a big enough shop/concrete slab to even use a creeper??...cas they completely useless on dirt..... second does he even want one?? since they only cost 30 bucks or so if he wanted one he would probably already have one.... as for customizing any paint/airbrush/body shop can but will cost u .......

Whatever you get, make sure it has metal caster wheels.Depending on how hard he is on it,run over a nut laying on the floor could break plastic wheels(done it).Make sure you get one with a wood platform, plastic ones are just too flimsy.Brand names don't really matter since their all made about the same.Never heard of anyone customizing a creeper before.

I think you should save that money and get him a brand name 3/8 drive ratchet and socket set instead. Previous two answers already pointed out that creepers are pretty useless if the car is not high enough and the ground is not smooth to allow free movement. Creepers are like car ramps. They look useful but they're hard to use and are not worth the money. Addition: In that case, I remember using a plastic one called Jeep Lisle or something. Really comfy with padded headrest. It looks like this one:
