And I don't know the sex which makes it a tad harder... but is there anything else im gonna really need? I've gotten lists from baby stores but I doubt id need all the things they say I will.

Are you going to have a baby shower? If you are, you should put off making purchases yourself, because somebody might get it for you. If not, let's see. For clothes, some onesies, sleepers, and socks. Those are the easiest to dress them it. Shirts slide up, so you don't want those. A baby bathtub is nice. Blankets that are big enough to swaddle with. Baby wash and lotion, nail clippers, nasal aspirator. A baby swing is really a lifesaver, especially the ones that you can swing either way. My son sleeps in his. Tons of diapers and wipes. Newborns really don't need toys. They love to look at your face. Oh, tons of burp cloths. Baby laundry detergent. Pacifiers. Buy a few different styles to see which your baby prefers. I think that's like the bare minimum of stuff you need in addition to the car seat, stroller and bassinet. I really love my baby sling. Yeah, most everything else is extras.

Register for it all. Whatever you don't get, you can pick up on your own, and you can also return some duplicate items or things you don't feel you need after all. But I would say that a few things you'll need are... 1. A stroller, preferable a travel system 2. Sleep Sack, or wearable blankets 3. Lots of burp clothes, or cloth diapers 4. A changing pad (you can attach it to the top of a dresser) 5. Bottles, brushes, drying rack, bottle sterilizer, milk storage containers 6. Nursing pads, lanolin cream, and/or shells 7. A Boppy pillow for nursing 8. 3-4 fitted crib sheets...you'll be doing a lot of laundry 9. Infant bath tub, washclothes, towels 10. Swing, bounce seat, or both 11. OxyClean...to soak those poopy clothes What you probably don't need... 1. Wipes warmer 2. Changing table...a dresser will do just fine 3. a "dome" if you have a boy, to stop spraying Hope some of this helped :)

baby bath baby body wash playpen crib change table rocking chair vibrating bouncy chair (THE best thing I bought for my newborn) newborn diapers whipes baby monitor as far as clothes goes... at the newborn stage i would say mostly onesies and sleepers. i really did end up using most of the things i purchased but if you can hold out for your baby shower you may end up getting some of these items there.

I used everything from the list . By the way I got my list from hospital not commercial lists. Most useful iteams I found not to be repetitive: Underwear cotton good quality _if I were u I won t buy newborn size ...always buy them bigger ...I bought lots of them and only used them for one week or 2 not worth it . baby grows ---check that they are easy to wear and unwear ----I bought really fancy once and where really an upset .... I prefer white colors for babies once in a while you could boil them in the machine. A good baby bath non slip --- A good nappy changer with drawers and bath was a good value and used it much seven years ago and now with my newborn . Almond oil--I used it from head to toe on baby unlike other baby oilsl Baby s scissors, sponge, milk seperator, a good bag to carry baby s things, a good thermos , babies music toys or a mobile!! you grap there attention even newborns!! I had my daughters moses basket so I kept them near me during the night I wouldn t trust monitors for babies. And it is better not to leave baby sleep in your bed with you it is not safe. I bought a monitor I ll start using it later on though I prefer baby with me or my hubby. An other thing I found useful ...a red light lamp wow this did it for us. I left the lights on in my bedroom during the night for 2 months from birth to check on baby . But red light is relaxing my husband slept comftably and also me and baby slept better and I could still check on . good luck- May God protect u and u re baby
