When they can sit up unaided, around 5 or 6 months. Before then it is too hard on their back and neck and can do more harm than good.

Actually, they are now saying NOT to use baby walkers. They can be dangerous and stunt growth. Instead y ou should use an Exersaucer... good luck and Congrats!

5 or 6 months is a good time, by that time he/she should be holding their own head up and able to stand. There's no wrong time but by the age of 5/6 months will be a good start. There's no harm in trying it out. Both of my kids didn't care to much for the kind that doesn't move, they liked the walker. Just make sure everything is out of reach (smile) because they will get to it. I seriously doubt it stunts growth. We've all used them for our own children or when we were babies. I know my mom used it on me, I'm 5 foot 8 inches, if that stunted my growth I'm glad, lol. But only you know how your baby is. Good luck! And walkers should not be used as a babysitter, Apparently others left their child unattended and had problems with it tipping over and such. Those problems they had were because they relied on the walker to become a babysitter.

exercausers can by used around 4 months or when baby can hold its head steady. and walkers, i wouldnt recommend. Although, I would say about 6 months if you choose to use them. Ive had past experiences with them tipping over because they're not all that sturdy.

You should NOT use a baby walker; they are too dangerous.

when they can support their heads. I would say 4-6 months depending on the baby. my oldest was 4 almost 5 months and my youngest was 5 almost 6 months. It just really depends on if your baby is able to support their heads and necks and not slump over when you sit them down. Good luck!!!

Walkers are a thing of the past they very dangerous in many ways, they can easy tip over and pushing your little one into the floor and cause multiple injury from bruising to fractures or others injuries and even death but the main problem with walker is that is not so much the fact of the walker tipping over actually is the walker hitting dresser or chirroffes/armoire or tall furniture pieces and T.V or or other heavy object falling on top of the baby or even this furniture pieces tipping/falling on top of the him/her. That's why furniture wall straps are recommended if your furniture doesn't have this straps for the past 15 years every furniture over 8 ft has to have straps, last year in Houston between Sept '06 and December '06 they were 8 little ones killed. Excersaucer are great but now they are a thing of the past as well, but the new craze and I highly recommend are the new rainforest's jumperoo's and the Kids II-Baby Einstein Jumper they lookalike miniature Bungee Jumper and they will get allot more exercise. Best of luck
