Will a barred owl eat crackers or bird seed?
I have a baby barred owl living on my porch and its been raining almost none stop in this area in the south for over a month and I know hes having trouble hunting since his mother has been disappeared. Will he eat crackers or bird seed? if not is there anything I can put out for him to have a little something to eat?

No - owls are carnivorous. If you aren't squeamish, some defrosted feeder mice sold for snakes will be ok for him to eat.

They eat meat, try feeder mice or raw chicken maybe, it won't eat the bird seed. I don't know where you're at, but if there a wild life rescue center in your area they could give some info on what to feed it if anything.

No, an Owl of any species only eats anything from worms ,insects, etc. but most eat flesh such as Rats. Mice.even birds. So it will not even be tempted by your Crackers or Bird seed, Buy some d.o. chicks or mice most pet store have these in freezers.or put down a mouse trap or two with a little Chocolate on and catch the mice this way ,but keep it out of sight of the Owl in case it gets caught in it.
