Why Buy a Beach Shower Curtain?

What exactly is a beach shower curtain? Yes, we know, the name is quite confusing. It sounds like a new kind of curtain that can only be used at the beach.

Perhaps an innovative new design? But that is not case. Really, a beach curtain is simply one that offers consumers an alternative to the old dull patterns and colors of the past.

So, why are they called beach shower curtains? Well, mostly because they feature a number of different landscapes, mainly beaches.

For instance, one of the most popular curtains is the Hawaiian curtain that often displays a beautiful sunset or a legion of surfers riding the waves.

Why are they popular? As we said, they really are just ordinary curtains, but since bathrooms are supposed to be more personal than other rooms in the home, many people prefer decorative curtains to the basic functional ones of the past.

Not to mention the fact that some people find certain patterns or images relaxing; which helps them when they are bathing or showering or doing their business on the commode.

Some people go even further and redecorate their bathrooms around the curtains, especially at a shore or vacation home. A beach shower curtain can be located online or at your local bed and bath store.

Ideas for nautical/beach shower curtain?
I'm looking to decorate my bathroom with a nautical theme. I've picked out a wooden sailboat to put on the wall, it has light blue painted on. I'm thinking about a light blue or navy rug. Any suggestions on a nice shower curtain that will go with the sailboat? I've looked at Walmart, Target, Overstock, and Bed Bath & Beyond all online and found a variety of options, but not the perfect one. oh wow the first link had really cool ones, but were expensive. the second link looks like it'll be great, thanks so much! i have a small budget

Maybe one of these websites will have the perfect shower curtain.

You can easily and inexpensively make your own nautical themed shower curtain. Simply purchase a solid colored shower curtain and make it nautical by using your imagination or ideas from the web sites you have visited. If you get a cotton shower curtain, and are unable to sew, you can use fabric glue to add the nautical accents. Go to a craft store for inspirational materials. You could get tan rope cording and attach it to the shower curtain hemline or just below the grommets. You could get blue and/or red fabric and cut out a shape of a sailboat and attach to the shower curtain. You could attach sheer or clear plastic pockets to the shower curtain in a random pattern and put a collection of seashells in the pockets. I have made many shower curtains for my clients using recycled sails from sailboats. If you can, go behind a sail loft and grab a sail out of their dumpster. Sails have tell tale details that scream nautical. I hope my ideas can help inspire you to get what you want, on a budget.
