None of the beaches have lockers available. You can leave some of your bulky things (clothes, towel) on the blanket/chair and ask someone who's next to you on the sand to watch it for you but I would take my personal belongings (wallet, jewelry, MP3 player, etc.) with me. Suggestion - Brighton Beach and Rockaway Beach are usually less crowded from my personal experiences. Jacob Riis Park is a beach that's small and almost feels like your own private beach. It's located near Rockaway Beach but you'll have to take a bus there.

Hi I don't think there's any lockers available at new york beach. You stated that you are going to travel alone, why don't you occupy a room where you can leave your things as you explore the beach? Thats up to you though, just thought I'd suggest. If you are going to leave your things and ask someone to look after it, how sure you are that the person you ask for will look after your valuables. It's really hard to entrust your valuables to anyone these days especially to someone you just met. I hope my answer can someone contribute something.
