how can i remove an axle bearing race that a puller cant remove?
Ive got a Jeep that has leaking axle bearing seals.Well Ive got one side done(bearing,seal,and brakes)and now I have a big problem.My bearing puller cant remove the bearing race so what do i do now?

try heating it than use the puller or cut it with a chisel if it on the axle hit it with a big hammer a few times should break it loose good luck try heating till cherry red than hit with some iced water cause it to crack with a little luck.

I like to use the Drummel (sp?) tool with a cut off wheel (like a mini bayflex) If you go the heat route, careful not to over heat and take the temper out of the shaft.

I've had the same thing happen. I got them out by seating a large screwdriver against the race and tapping it with a hammer. Tap on opposite sides, pretty solid-like. It takes a little bit, but it should work.
