bebe sounds?
Someone gave me a Bebe Sounds Prenatal Heart Listener (I believe it is from Wal Mart), and it says you can begin hearing the heartbeat at the beginning of the 3rd trimester. Well I'm 27 weeks so that's about the right time. I was just wondering if anyone ever actually heard the heartbeat with this monitor?

I had one, it sucked and it never worked. I've heard similar claims from other users.

They don't work, all you hear is your dinner being digested.

I never heard the heartbeat with either pregnancy. During my first pregnancy I was able to hear the placenta. But I had to be completely still with absolutely no noise--not event he A/C running. And if a car drove by outside, forget it. So don't waste your time.

i started hearing it with that around about 26 weeks however im pretty slim and i had to press with it lower towards my pelvis like near your bladder. but when i did hear it, it was awesome. they really are not that great though. i only spent 4 dollars on mine though at a used baby store and it was worth the 4 dollars but not much more than that

My doctor HATES these devices. I took one in when I was pregnant with my first (I am now expecting my third) and she wrote me a note for a refund. I did keep it, though-and have yet to hear a heartbeat other than my own. I can hear MY heartbeat, or movements within the uterus, but not the baby's heartbeat. My doctor said that they can not get the technology into a cheap $20 device that supposedly mimics that of theirs...which cost several hundred dollars. You can rent a REAL doppler at various sites on the internet, such as BabyBeat.com.

Sometimes-- u will never hear the heart beat within pregnancy if this happens, but at times, it can be maybe a danger? but I've known many people to deliver healthy babies without ever hearing a heart beat of the child.

those things are crap

I have heard that some people can, but don't be alarmed if you can't I have seen complaints about that as well... Try it since someone gave it to you what can you loose?

All I ever heard was the fluid rushing back and forth (the woosh woosh u hear at the doc office) and every now and then I'd hear him move, a kick or something. I think one time Iheard the heartbeat but I was very far along and i had to be SUPER still and the room had to be dead silent. Do not use it after eating, you'll just hear your food!! LOL!

you are lucky someone gave it to you because they are not worth the 20 bucks they sell for. i am 29 weeks and i can sometimes hear mine but like the other user said, absolutely no background noise. and you have to know what to listen for.

Ya me and my fiance listen to our baby's heartbeat all the time with that. I got mine when i was like 24 weeks and i still heard it, maybe it is just the way he/she is laying that makes it hard to hear..
