You *could*... But I don't recommend it -- not at all. It will get really hard to grip when you start to sweat, and you will probably get some blisters. Just use an overgrip. They're not too expensive.

uhhh NOO haha well i guess you could but that would be just kind of stupid! you wouldnt be able to grip it and when your palms get sweaty it will fly right out of your hand. so i dont think thats a particularly smart idea. my favorite over grip is tourna soft grip its like no more than 5 dollars. if thats a problem you can find 5 bucks on the street so that shouldnt be too difficult to come up with ! hope i helped

You can but its not a good idea. Proper grip gives cusion, comfort and grip, masking tape wont do anything except maybe to stop u getting splinters from the wooden handle. Any decent sized sport shop sell tennis grip tapes and they are not expensive. You should go n have a look.

Yes it can but you won't be holding on to the racquet for long when your hand sweats. Gauze is much better than masking tape.
