Today's Discussion

When did velvet flocked blacklight posters first appear on the market?
I'm trying to settle a friendly dispute about a particular blacklight poster called WHO ROLLED MARY JANE? I know the original poster is by an artist name Bill Olive and was put out in 1969 by Wespac Communications and is purple, pink, and blue in color. I need to know when the velvet flocked yellow blacklight version put out by Dargis Assc. Inc. came on the market. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

well it says the big boom was in the 1970's but i couldn't find any specific dates. 1970's is when the first factory was opened to mass produce them.
