What is a blower motor resistor/how can you test/tell if it is no good ?
My 1990 Chevy Cheyenne/Silverado plow truck blower motor turns on all by it self full blast/high when I hit the key to start.What does a blower motor resistor do what is it's funcition how does it effect the blower motor. What does this blow motor resistor even look like and where is it located on the vehicle/truck. Is this blower motor resistor wired-in or does it have a plug.

IT LIMITS THE AMOUNT OF GROUND THAT IS SUPPLIED TO THE BLOWER MOTOR IF IT IS AT HIGH SPEED ALL THE TIME IT'S DEFF THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR MAKE SURE U GET THE RIGHT ONE THERE IS TWO DIFF KINDS THEY LOOK SIMILIAR BUT BOLT UP DIFF GOODLUCK
