Should I buy a Mercedes C55 AMG Sport Sedan?
I am considering a C55. It is a 2005, bright red, and has 7,500 miles on it. The dealership is asking $41,500. It is a V8, and has 340 hp. Should I trade my 1999 bmw 323i for it? The payments would be double!! Plus I have some neat stuff on my bmw- expensive rims (with bmw emblem in the middle- so I wouldn't keep them), tint, and a cool spoiler. I am 21, and have a full time job. I graduated from college last year. Thanks! One more thing- I forgot to mention the reason I am thinking about this- My bmw is rear-wheel drive, and the C55 is AWD. In the winter, we often get snow where I live.

Wow, um trust me from past experinces keep what you have. Because you may get the mercedes and be completely happy but more then likely your going to say well my bmw had this or that. If theres nothing wrong with the car keep it.

it only has 7,500 miles? That car is still new. It seems like a good deal, if you can afford it, and if you have no other priorities. It would definitely be a trade-up from your beemer.

well...just a warning to you, but Mercedes have really poor reliability. BMW's have better reliability, so i would get a AWD BMW instead

The C55 is NOT AWD. With the exception of the SUV's, AMG cars are rear drive only. While the C55 is definitely faster than your current car, you may find that the handling is not quite to the level of your 323, especially if you have the sport package. If you want something fast, but with the security of AWD, you could get the 335xi, which starts out a little cheaper than the $41,5k of the C55. Or you could save yourself some cash and look at a 2005-6 330xi, which should run in the low to mid $30's.
