What time do people put their 6 week old baby to bed?
If my daughter falls asleep in the swing or sitting in the boppy we feel bad waking her to move her just to put her back to sleep. What does everyone do in that situation? Do you let her sleep where she is or wake her (not on purpose) and move her?

You don't really put a 6 week old to bed. They just fall asleep. They are easy to move because they don't wake up if they are conked out.

At 6 weeks, i just leave my babies where they are! they will be awake in a couple of hours anyway, where you can feed, change and put the to bed properly. If she were a bit older and sleeping longer at night, then i would move her, so she isnt sitting in the swing for so long, but while she is still so little, let her sleep!

If I am staying awake, I let the baby sleep he falls asleep. Otherwise, I wait about 15 minutes after he has fallen asleep to transfer him to his crib. Keep the lights dim, move very slowly, and be prepared to offer comfort wherever you are bringing her to sleep. If I move super slow and have very few lights on, I can get my sleeping son from the swing to his crib without waking him up too much, and he goes right back to sleep. If you don't wait long enough after the baby falls asleep, you may have a hard time though!

Both my girls would fall asleep in their swing till 930 or 10. I would take them to my room and get them ready for bed. Warm cloth, change their diapers, prepare their bassinet with wipes, diapers and the necessary milk/bottles for the night if needed - I would get ready for bed too. By the time I was organized it was 11pm and time for the bottle. Noise machine on - bottle, burp and rocked - swaddle to bed. Worked like a charm and both of them sleep 10-12hours every night still I really worked on a bedtime routine early on and it paid off since my 3yr old went to bed at 8 and the little one was sleeping soundly till 10 - a few hours to ourselves. They both are ready for bed at 8pm now and out like a light! Mom of 31/2 and 16month
