No way. Your baby needs to be sleeping on flat surface or strapped into her car seat. A pillow, even a boppy, is way too soft. At 3 weeks, the baby lacks coordination to turn over, but can turn himself over by accident and sufficate on a pillow.

I wouldn't. You should have her sleeping in a co sleeper or bassinet. Boppy Pillows pose a suffocation risk if she slides down and turns her head a little.

No, it is recommended that you never have anything in a crib or bed that can smother a child.

Yes, I loved the BP & so did my now 6 yr old daughter. She actually had to sleep in that or a bouncy seat for a while because of having to much fluid in lungs and couldn't lay flat! Just make sure you know when she seems to start trying to roll over that it is only during the day when you are around, and then later she can once she can roll back over on her own.

I wouldn't do it. What if she wiggled around and slid to where she couldn't breathe? Maybe you could let her fall asleep in it and them remove it. My son loved sleeping in his carseat, so maybe you could try that. It offers the same position of sleeping up, and you can strap her in and not worry about wiggling or falling. Congrats on the new baby, also!!!

she cant turn or anything right now soi dont see a problem with it but to make it safer i would put blankets on either side of her so she dont slip down throughout the night many will say not to allow her to use the pillow but i think as long as she is snuggled up in it so she cant get anywhere she would be fine i would think she is still in your room at her age so u can always check on her at night time several times you have to get up every few hours for feedings so why your at it check and make sure she is where she is posed to be .

Although I am guilty of letting my daughter nap in hers while I was right by her side (awake), I would say not to. You never know if they could slide down and get their head underneath the pillow and suffocate. It's better to be safe than sorry.

My husband thought it was ok until I woke up the next morning hearing my daughter muffled cry from under it, No it is absolutley not safe, no pillows.

i don't think it would be safe she could get cot between the mattress of crib & boppy & sufacate ,now if it was in the daytime , like for nap & you were in the same room to keep an eye out for her then yes let her sleep in it

No it isn't. If you have a bouncy seat or a swing let her sleep in this until she is older.

I have always heard thats its unsafe to have anything in the crib while the baby is sleeping.

My son loved sleeping in his boppy. It was the only way I could get him to sleep through the night. I dont care what other people say. You do what you've got to do! My son slept in it until he was about 3 or 4 months old, If it wasnt his boppy, it was his infant carseat and I would strap him in it and set the whole thing in his crib. It worked and he slept like a charm. When he got bigger, and I moved him into the boppy for good, after a while he grew more, and when he would wake up in the morning he would be stretched back over the boppy. When he started slowly creeping over it was when I knew it was time to take him out. Since he was 2 1/2 months old he has slept through the night and I have never had any problems (except when he was sick!) I say go for it!
