Where in Canada can I buy BPA free baby bottles?
I'm looking for plastic BPA free baby bottles. I've only seen glass ones at babiesrus.ca and I am getting conflicting information on what name brands actually are BPA free. I have checked out NUBY bottles but apparently a lot of babies have difficulty actually getting anything out of the nipple. Thanks and please source your info! 10 points to best answer & sourcing.

You can buy them at Wal-Mart, Toys'r'us and Zellers. There are different kinds. All the glass ones are BPA free. For the plastic ones, Nuby makes them, so does Dr. Brownn and Evenflow. I use the Playtex Drop-in. They are BPA free also. In Canada, all the bottles on sale now (at least at Wal-Mart and Zellers) are BPA free because all bottles with BPA in them have been recalled.

You're right about the Nuby nipples being difficult to use. My daughter couldn't use them until she was about 9 months old. We used Playtex Nursers with the drop-Ins. I loved them until she was old enough to hold her own bottle (they aren't drip-proof). We switched to the Nuby bottles soon after things got too messy. I have seen BPA-free bottles at the baby boutique stores. Of course they're expensive, but if it's a big concern for you, it's worth it. Check this out:

Anything at walmart is BPA free they have new glass bottles there to although they can break if your baby throws them. I use the old fashioned playtex bottles and the drop-ins they are BPA free and great to prevent gas. you can buy fast medium or slow nipples for them to aswell as you have a choice of silicon or latex. My son had no trouble with them and he can hold them well as they have little notches down the sides. But anyway I know walmart doesn't sell anything with BPA because they had a huge sign at my store.

I live in Canada and have been searching for BPA free sippy cups. I recently checked WalMart and was told that all sippy cups with BPA have been taken off the shelf. I would think bottles would be the same. The only places I know that have them for absolute certain are in Peterborough (Cherished Events, Joannes Place). I've tried a few kinds of glass bottles and BornFree are the best. If you can't find them at a store near you (the big box stores don't carry them as far as I know), you can buy them on-line. I also purchased Evenflo glass bottles from silikids.com. They came with a rubber sheath so they are less slippery and less likely to break if dropped. They wouldn't be good for very young babies though, as they don't have a valve to release air.

I have been using the Born Free bottles. They have them in glass( with great venting!) and they also offer them in plastic (BPA free) I found the other glass ones very messy and air was always getting trapped. I highly recommend them.
