Removing stuck brake drum?
03 Toyota Camry. Passenger side came off easily. Driver side wont budge. Tried spray on nut buster. Tried soft mallet. Tried metal hammer. No luck. Is there a tool called brake drum puller? If so do the fingers fit between the drum and thin steel backing plate or is it mounted into the two threaded holes on the drum? Thanks

I'm not sure bout the puller but what i've always done is just worked a circle with a good hammer ONLY POUNDING ON THE THICK FLANGE otherwise you can crack the drum. Just be patient and keep working circles... also may sound dumb but make sure your parking brake isn't on, this will cause the drum to act siezed.

ok, to remove the drum that is seized, you will have to use the mallet on the sides of the drum and I mean hard. You have to get the wheel cylinders to retract themselves so you can get the drum off. Also do not do this right after stopping your car, brake pressure will be consistent and difficult to remove as you are explaining.

back the brake shoes away from the drum is the only way to get a drum off that is that badly stuck, there is 2 access holes in the back of the wheel hub, pull the rubber plugs out and look in the holes and you will see a gear, push the locking bar out of the wat and then turn the gear downward until the drum comes off.
