The "fat" buddha statues that you see are statues of Budhai (Hotei in Japanase), a pre-Buddhist Chinese god of abundance who was later adopted by Buddhism as it spread across China.

The difference between Siddhartha and the Buddha: Siddhartha was an indian prince who left his wealth behind to seek enlightenment. When he found it, he became the Buddha. Buddha means a person who has attained complete enlightenment. So technically, there could be another Buddha. As for the two different types of Buddhas: the Chinese kind of assimilated the Buddha and changed him into a prosperity/ good luck icon. I think that there is also some chinese god that kind of merged with their new Buddha figure. As for where you can find the original Buddha, if you mean images or figures, it should be fairly easy if you look around a little.

Almost all images from Southeast Asia are of Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical one. Mahayana considers enlightenment to be the real Buddha, so most images represent aspects of Enlightenment. Usually the hand positions, or "mudras", will show which Buddha is being portrayed. There are too many to list here, but Google images and Mudra and you should be able to match any given picture or statue, then go to that website to find out which one it is. Some of the differences are subtle- the most common Shakyamuni and the most common Amida (outside of Japan) differ only in whether the forefingers are lying flat or turned upward, respectively.
