Add Space to Your Kitchen with a Butcher Block Cart

Adding extra worktop space to your kitchen can be really hard, especially when you do not have a large kitchen - but this can be changed with a butcher block cart.

Not only does a block cart have plenty of room on top for chopping meat and vegetables. They also tend to have storage underneath them.

This can be used to store knives, pots and pans and even fruits and vegetables, should you wish to.

As well as adding vital extra space to your kitchen a cart like this is also very mobile, which means you can store it wherever you like.

Many people choose to store a block cart under an existing table or in the corner of the kitchen. It can then be taken out whenever you need to use it and positioned wherever you want it to be.

In other words not only is this piece of kitchen equipment excellent for adding extra worktop space, it is also very versatile. To add more space to your kitchen without having to install extra units or replace existing ones, opt for a butcher block cart and you will be very glad that you did.

Today's Discussion

The corner of my wooden, butcher block cart top was banged causing a raised dent (not an indented dent).?
How do I fix it?

Sand it flush.

smooth faced hammer, tap it down easy, it should push backout if the grain goes up and down.

Put a scrap piece of wood on the protrusion and hammer it down just above the top then sand it flush. Season with vegetable oil. There is a special oil for butcher blocks but you don't need to buy a whole can just for a dent.

Take common water soak the area..then get A wet towel, put over the raised dent..and get a clothing ironn..and iron it down..The wood when rehydrated with water in the grain will iron down back to shape...Do not use cooking oil to season it.. It can go rancid.. Get A small bottle of mineral oil from any store to "reseason"
