I have an outdoor grill with rusted cast iron burners. How 2 fix?
The grill was made by Patio Classic which is out of business. I can't find replacements to the burners that are so badly rusted they crumble when touched. I've looked at generic replacement burners but can't find any cast iron burners. It's a great looking grill that I want to restore... Any idea what I measure to determine which steel replacement burner to purchase? I've found the steel replacements but they are so dissimilar I can't tell which may work...

I have seen this before. If the burners are rusted to a point where the tiny holes where the gas comes out are too big now, or rusted through, you have no choice but to replace the burners or the grill.

Its nice to keep things you want to restore original but crumbling rust is irreversible. There must be a generic replacement you can find in a local store or even online, you may have a better selection. If worst comes to worst, be creative and find a replacement and drill the new burner holes to connect. Dont worry about using original holes, they wont necessarily effect the grills performance.

Home depot sells a replacement burner(not cast iron) and hook up hardware (steel)
