How much would it cost to install a central heating/cooling air system into a house?
I am thinking of buying a house. The only thing holding me back is the heating source. The house has forced air from gas. How much would it cost to install a central heating/cooling system into a 2,300 SqFt home?

multiples of thousands, depending on the area of the country. 3-4 grand minimum.

Depends on area where you live....but here in Chicago it just cost me 5,000.00 for a Ultra High Efficency Furnace and A/C Unit.

Probably about $8000, but there are many other factors to consider. It could be more or less, and if you get an energy efficient system, you may get a rebate from your state.

depends on the brand of the unit youd like but probally from $1500-3000 + depending on the person putting it in (what they charge for labor) and the unit itself........
