When it comes to saving money on a PC, purchasing used or cheap computers is a great option if you have the knowledge of how to optimize them for the best performance.

Many individuals get frustrated with the performance of their personal computers or laptops and either give them away or sell them "dirt cheap" even when just a few simple clicks of the mouse can significantly enhance the performance enabling the computer to operate as efficiently as the day it was purchased.

You can also save yourself money on expensive computer repairs by learning how to "clean out" and maintain your computer system. Anyone who has basic computer knowledge can learn how to optimize any computer system for maximum performance with detailed step by step instructions.

Regular computer maintenance is essential for preventing computer crashes and anytime your computer experiences a power outage or program crash it can create disk errors that can slow down your computers performance.

Running Microsoft Windows "Disk Check" program on a regular basis is one of the ways you can help maintain your computer as it will scan your hard drive and repair any errors that are found.

Microsoft's "Disk Cleanup" and "Disk Defragmenter" are also great programs that can be utilized to speed up your personal computers performance and should be used on a regular basis.

There are also many ways to make your PC run faster and more efficiently when browsing the internet by changing the settings in your web browser to reduce the size of your browsing history.

These are just a few of the many ways in which you can enhance the performance of any PC.  If you are interested in learning the details of these methods as well as more advanced methods that will allow you to optimize your computer please visit us!

Cheap Computers?
I just happened to be up at Office Depot and they had a really good computer for $500, but of course they were out of them. Where's a place to get good, cheap computers? I know tigerdirect.com sometimes has some, but where else? And I'm looking for a desktop.

Sam's Club or Costco are good places to find cheap decent computer. But, you need to have a membership to buy from them. with computers like many other things you get what you pay for. Usually when a computer is cheap they are lacking in ram, hard drive space and they usually have lower end components.
