Today's Discussion

When can I feed my baby cherries, apricots, grapes, and pineapple?
I don't mean like plain or raw, I mean in some baby foods they are in the ingredients, but I don't know if they are okay to feed the baby yet. I know they put stuff in the baby food that really should wait until a year, like tomatoes, so just because it is in there, doesn't mean I trust it. Please help!

You should start with veggies, because fruit is so sweet a lot of babies won't eat the veggies after that. Oatmeal (plain) is good, steamed mashed carrots, sweet potato, rice cereal

Contact your baby's doctor to find out for sure Also you might want to check out parenting magazines and stuff

You can start trying to introduce new foods around 5-6 months. Be sure to introduce them SLOWLY and one at a time so you can identify any food allergies if there is any.

My doctor said that citrus and red berries shouldn't be given until 9 months of age, the others are safe whenever you decide to start stage 2 solids.

I started at about 6 to 8 months old with cherries, apricots. Grapes are fine if you cut them in half and peel them (such a pain but my kids loved them) I would wait on pineapple. It can give them a rashy bum.
