How to get cat to take chewable medicine?
I have chewable medicine that I am trying to give to my cat but the problem is she will not eat them. Any tips on this or do I just need to buy the pill form instead?

If the med isn't for a oral reason, you can crush up the meds and then combine it in the cat's food or water. If it is, call your vet and ask.

You can grind it up into a powder and then mix it into the food. If you don't have a pill grinder, just put it in a plastic bag and hit it with an object until it breaks up into tiny pieces.

Ha!! If you cannot disguise it in food well enough that she will eat it, then you must hold her mouth open and upward, and drop it into her throat, then hold her mouth closed until she swallows. It may take two people in order to do this. I HATE giving cats medicine.

just mix it with her food, or get something that she likes a lot, and wrap it around the medicine (like cheese for instance, idk if ur cat likes cheese, but my dog used to love it haha), it should work, i used to do that with my dog ;) best luck

you could maybe try breaking it down and adding it to your cat's food if she REALLY won't eat them. another suggestion, maybe you could dissolve it into her water? if these don't work, you may just have to get the pills.

I always chop it into some wet cat food, kitties love wet cat food

crush it and mix it into her food or open her mouth and push it down her throat

There's a product at pet specialty stores called pill pockets. It was made with vets to help animals get the medicine they're prescribed. They're like treats, so sometimes give empty ones so your cat doesn't catch on!
