Child safety gate that would fit between two railings at the top of my stairs?
I'm looking for a child safety gate that would fit between railings on either side? The ones that I found currently fit between two walls for support. What can I do?

OSB and 2'4's ... make your own :)

Same theory as the previous poster, but I saw my friend's and thought it was a good idea. They had two railings, so they straped 2x4's to the railing, then put the gate into the 2x4.

We made our own from a piece of plywood. We had them cut it to fit and then we drilled holes around so we could tie it to the banister and rail. It is working and it was cheap. You can paint it and decorate it if you want. We did it this way so that we were not damaging the rails or the banister. Plus we just bought a house so money it really tight. Hope this helps.
