Moms: What type of cot or separate co-sleeper did your baby sleep in beside the bed?
I have a friend that is about to pop any day now. She's pregnant with a very healthy baby girl. This is her first child. She will be breast feeding, but will NOT have her baby sleeping in the bed with her. I would like to buy her a co-sleeper that goes up next to the bed. I don't want to buy a pack-n-play. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or ideas. Please no rude answers. Thanks.

I've heard of one called the Close And Secure Co-Sleeper. It's sort of like a pack 'n' play but has a side that folds down to connect to the parents' bed. I'll see if I can find a link. EDIT: I was Wrong - it's called the Arms Reach Co-Sleeper.

you can get her a bassinet or this one

I would suggest that you buy a bassinet that will fit beside her bed, but are you sure that she *wants* the baby sleeping next to her? Perhaps she wants the baby to go in a cot from birth? Or even to sleep in it's own room from the very start? I suggest asking her exactly what she wants before going and purchasing something expensive that she may never even want to use - by asking, you never can go wrong with gifts. Good Luck =)

I have a Jayden + 2 on the way
He just slept in a basinette next to our bed and I'd take him in with me whenever he needed to be fed.
