How do photo stores put pictures on coffee cups?
I live in Germany, and speak only a little English, so I need to know how photo shops normally put pictures on coffee cups. My husband wants a cup with our marriage picture on it. Do I bring an actual picture to the shop or do I bring something else?

Bring the actual photo or bring a digital file of the picture (the picture saved on a computer disk or thumb/flash drive). The shop can tell you what they want you to bring.

You can now purchase directly printable stickers which are layed out on A4 formated paper sheets. Get to your local computer/disposal shop and ask for those. print out the picture on the sticker using High Def settings and you'll get a negative sticker which once peeled off and glued on the mug will show a positive image of your pic. If you want to go to the shop, simply bring out the picture which they can scan and duplicate.

Just take the photo you want on the cup, give it to them and they will get it printed onto a cup! =]

wow, you have perfect English grammar...for knowing only a little English...nice! There are many online stores that can do the picture for you....kodak...sony...you give them the picture, and they provide the cup. Good luck.

They take a picture of what they want on the cup or mug then make a transfer of the picture and put the transfer onto the mug or cup then they peale away the cover of the transfer , this leaves the picture on the mug or cup this is then put in a pottery type kiln and heated until the picture is fired into the mug or cup. if you go to a ceramic tile shop where you buy wall tiles for your kitchen they put pictures on tiles this way all the time they will tell you where to go for you to get you picture put on the mug. Doing it this way the picture will never wear away even after hundreds of years

Bring the picture. Most places scan the image and save it to a CD. Then you get your photo back. The cup is made from the CD. If you have a professional wedding photo, you will need a copyright release to put it on a cup. Ask your photographer, he/she will probably give you a limited release for a project like a coffee cup.
