Learning how to build your own computers for gaming is not only fun to do, but is also significantly less expensive than purchasing one from manufacturers such as Gateway, Dell, or Alienware.

It is possible to build a high performance gaming computer with the latest top quality hardware for less than one thousand dollars.

Setting up your computer and configuring the components to create a top performing gaming system is relatively easy when you have step by step detailed instruction that include illustrations. The most important part of building your gaming system is selecting the best hardware.

It is essential that you choose the right motherboard, CPU, video card, amount of RAM, as well as other components in order to ensure top notch gaming performance. For example, in order to ensure the best in 3D gaming the graphics processing unit or GPU must be able to support at a minimum DirectX 10.0, PCI Express x16, and two hundred and fifty six megabytes of graphics memory.

Your operating system must also be optimized and tweaked for gaming in order to obtain the best performance. It is also important that you know where to purchase these components and take full advantage of discounts and special deals.

All of the components you purchase must also be selected so that they are compatible and work together seamlessly. By educating yourself in utilizing the latest in technology such as Quad Core CPUs, SATA, RAID, and PCI Express, you will have the advantage of building an up to date computer gaming system that will last for many years.

The only tools required to build your entire system are a flashlight, flat-head and Philips screwdriver, flat-headed clippers, and cable ties. Graphics cards for gaming computers?
Whats the cheapest graphic card that will actually run games like Skyrim, Star Wars: the old republic, and such? I don't know much about computers, I would just like to find a computer that I can play games on relatively well and not spend a fortune... preferably between 400 and 600 dollars. Again not looking for anything fancy.
