Today's Discussion

A question about sizing on baby things gear not clothes?
so my car seat says 5-22 pounds at my sons 2 week app he was already 8 and he was born 6 so he gains a pounds every 10 days or so but the car seat has sooo many levels on it in the back and the front as if to fit a baby bigger than 22 pounds in the car seat so my question is Did you ever go over a certain item because you felt like they could still use it? what was it? and why did you do it? NOTE NO ONE HERE IS TO JUDGE SO PLEASE DON"T JUDGE POSTERS! And my son loves his swing what can i buy similar of it after he grows out of it he has this swing And this car seat that I am talking about

There is no telling when a baby will want to stop using something like a swing. We were worried that his bouncer and swing would not be good after a certain age. Little did we know that he was done with the swing around 3 months and done with the bouncer at 5. No I haven't gone over a weight limit on something. I would def not go over the car seat limit. It is there for a reason. The second my son was close to growing out of it we went and purchased a convertible seat.

we stopped using the bouncer and swing a while ago, he just no longer likes them and they just don't hold his interest. as for the car seat, we JUST got a new convertible one yesterday and it's amazing. his legs were hanging off the front and I measured him and he was an inch short of the maximum (they have a weight AND height requirement) -- I have no idea what he weighs but he was getting too long for the infant seat so we got a new convertible. as for a swing, this one (I just did a google search) holds up to THIRTY pounds. I personally would invest in it just because I don't feel comfortable putting a baby in something when they're outgrowing it. if he seems to still fit in it, then go for it, but you can tell when they're too big. 30 lb swing: also, your baby's weight gain will slow down when they become more mobile :)
