My mom used to make little sculptures out of Sculpy....it's a white clay that you can buy pretty cheaply at any craft-store you make the sculptures and you bake them ( I'm not sure how long) then when you take them out you can paint them ...be careful though on making the sulpturs too thin because they become fragile...the thicker the better!

Who are the buyers likely to be? Target them. Usually it's adult women, many on a budget that wouldn't allow them to spend a lot on a single item. But four quilted placemats, they can afford. (Buy already-quilted fabric and bind the edges.) Thanksgiving or Halloween-themed cloth napkins, likewise. (Machine-hem 22-inch squares.) Sachets of sweet herbs for their drawers or a cedar chest? Do you have any particular skills as a crafter? Can you decoupage? Make sock puppets? Tie dye? Marblize? The idea is that a person can get something nice for under ten bucks. It will take more sales, but people are more williing to spend a small amount.
