Well, in my personal opinion, EX2 and SuperNOVA for the PS2 are best. Now, first off, I want to congratulate you on choosing DDR. It is a nice game series. Second, you can change graphic intensity by decreasing brightness via the options menu from the main menu, not the mods menu. Thirdly, DDR has an excellent array of songs to choose from, from electronica to ska, rap to break-beats, it's all there. Fourth, you will need a pad. The game will come with a pad if you get the big box from a store. It is a Konami softpad, and it may slip, so have some tape handy. There are different pads, like the Dance Factory pad (which you have), RedOctane's ITG pad (ITG is Konami's now as of October of this year), and the CobaltFlux pad, which costs around $350. This is so because it is a metal arcade-style pad. Lastly, in order to track the fitness of you and your wife, you will need a memory card, otherwise, keep a chart of how many songs played, what difficulty (Beginner, Basic (Light), Another (Trick or Standard), SSR (Maniac or Heavy), Challenge (Oni)), what style (Single, Versus, or Doubles), nonstop or free select, Calories burnt, and time played.
