Incarnations of the devil in Video Games and Comics?
I am doing a research paper explaining the different impacts the Devil has had in modern society since Dante Alighieri's Inferno and Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus. I have a bunch of films to relate it to. As for comics all I can think of is Spawn and Ghost Rider. As for Video Games, all I can think of is Dantes Inferno and maybe even God Of War III. Any other suggestions?

Mundus from Devil May Cry is a representation of the devil as is Mephisto from marvel ) a recurring theme in the Silent Hill series is a twisted god worshiped by a cult that can be interpreted as the devil

Oh, there are a lot of demonic references in comic books and video games. For video games: Dante's Inferno, The Devil May Cry, Silent Hill, there's also one about a killer that was put in jail for supposedly murdering his wife and kid, can't remember the name though. For comic books: Son of Satan, Devil, Demon, Lucifer, Sandman and tons more. The fact is that the Devil isn't seen as a misfigured bad guy who hides in the dark anymore. Now he's seen as an a55-kicker and a force not to be messed with. This is because I think less and less people are seeing the devil as an actual real entity, but more of a made-up character.
