Today's Discussion

Diphenhydramine HCl?
Has anyone tried tripping on Diphenhydramine (Benadryl and/or Sleeping Pills) before? What was it like and how much did you take? I just bought some to use for their intented purpose, but when I checked the drug interactions online, I discovered that It could also be used recreationally quite safely, and produced hallucinations that were not as radical as LSD, but more realistic. So realistic, in fact, that they could not be distinguished from reality, often even after the drug wore off. Any ideas?

I've never heard of this, and I work in a pharmacy. Usually the OTC of choice for illegal use is Sudafed, not Benadryl. I've never heard of abuse of Benadryl. Don't trust everything you read online. It might just be a fatal result if you take too much. Benadryl is an antihistamine, but it is also used to aid sleep, so taking too much might bring "permanent sleep."

NEVER heard that before.Never had any kids trying to pull that nonesense in our ER

I have never tripped while taking Benadryl, you would probably have to take way too much. 2 Benadryls take away the itchy eyes, ears, nose, and throat. 2-4 Benadryls work well as a sleep aid. I'm not sure how much you would take to trip, but I do know that it is possible to die from overdosing on Benadryl. I don't recommend trying it.

Hello I know this about but can not say anything about it but as longer you take it will give effect to us.So,don't use medicine to make you sleep just use natural way it will help you more.

If you are looking for ways to have a drug-induced event.....YOU NEED HELP. Look, its bad enough that you would think this could be a form of fun. The fact that you would use a public forum to find a better or easier way is a definite signs of mental immaturity and instability.

you really need to be careful.....that medication wasn't meant for the purpose you intend to use it for you wouldn't think tylenol would hurt you but it destroyed my gall bladder at the age of 26 and I had to have it removed.....I wasn't overusing it...but had been using it for a horrid toothache for about 4 to 5 weeks. BE CAREFUL...getting high seems like escapism to me....if that's the case...you most likely need someone to talk to, to find out why you want to push your real life into the background by chemical means. I know this may sound dumb to you....but getting high is only gonna complicate things in your life...however "pleasant" the feeling may be at the time. Good luck

ya,.... not a good idea. While u may hallucinate mildly ( not ANYHWERE NEAR LSD) it WILL HARM YOU HORRIBLY. You will, upon waking up, IF you wake up... assuming your heart is still working.... be HORRIBLY dried out like a raisin, HORRIBLE headache, HORRIBLE tremors, HORRIBLE vision from the headache ( light sensitivity, etc) possible nausea... and so much more/ All for seeing something thats not there?... better off just gettin some time tested LSD if you wanna trip... at least you know its "safer"
