The best bet is to let the car stay where it is. The distributor goes bad on those and it's a 450.00 used or 1200.00 new part.

if that car is a 2.4 it doesn't have a distributor in it ,everyone knows that,and those was good cars,that one could have some major problems though,look in the coolant and see if there's any discoloration in it,also look in the oil real good,that could be anything from a coil pack to a fuel pump gone bad in it,its hard to guess at it without any more information on it than that,it would be wise to be careful on it though,i own one of these and they have some expensive parts on them,so it might be a good idea to have a mechanic go with you,it may be more than you want to take on,but for 500 it sounds like a good deal,if its as nice as they say it is,good luck with it.

E7089M, E7094M, E7113M, AND E7129M, MANUFACTURED BETWEEN JUNE 1 AND SEPTEMBER 24, 2006. THESE FUEL PUMP MODULES WERE SOLD AS AFTERMARKET FOR USE IN CERTAIN DAIMLERCHRYSLER VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE.
