How a Dog Electric Fence can solve Your Dog Problems

dog electric fence

Do you need a dog electric fence? If your dog either likes to dig out of a regular fence or it likes to leave an open yard area this might be the solution for you. These fences can help both scenarios. They make the dogs stay away for the perimeter areas of the yard.

This type of fence will give a dog a gentle jolt if they are at the fence. When this happens, it makes the dog back off the electric pet fence. Your dog will soon learn not to go in the area of the fence. The fence will make you be able to enjoy having a dog again.

Some do wonder if these electric fences are safe for animals. The answer is yes. These fences are not as high powered as the electrified security fences around certain facilities. They are lower in power well-suited to not harming the animals.

So solve your problem today with one of these fences. This way you don't have to worry about your dog accidently getting out and in the street. Many dogs wind up getting lost or worse hit by cars when they get lose. So keep your pets safe today with a dog electric fence.

Does a dog electric fence work for all dogs?
See i was thinking of getting a dog electric fence but i need to know what it does. Because i was thinking if my dog saw a cat my dog would chase it, right. But if i had one of those fences would my dog chase the cat. I will like to know what would happen

you are better off saving for a real fence. dogs can and do run through electric fences. not to mention that other dogs and animals and people can come into your yard.

I despise shock collars, electric fences or anything that inflicts pain on an animal in order to control it.

It only works if the sting of the shock is more of a deterrent than their reason for leaving. We had one and my dog would just walk through it if she wanted to. The jolt didn't deter her enough, no matter what we set it on. We eventually gave up and only let her off lead in the fenced yard.

A real fence is a lot better because some dogs can learn that is they bolt through the shock really quickly they would be able to get out. Then after the're out of the fence they could not want to come back and then you have a lost dog, missy. N

Real fences are better. My cocker spaniel couldn't care less about a shock if there was a bunny on the other side, and then she wouldn't come back. So, I put in a real fence, but she dug a tunnel under it and ran out in front of a UPS truck. Ya just can't win sometimes. Nothing is foolproof.

Definitely not. Read this article: Many dogs have high pain thresholds. If they see a cat, stray dog, stranger or anything else interesting, a simple shock may not be enough to stop them. This goes doubly for working breeds who are designed to have high pain tolerance, and triply for dogs with thick fur coats like Siberian Huskies. Electronic shock fences are total risks, and they are not worth the pain they could cause.
