When you play 2 double Bass drums. You have to make sure you are making good contact with the kick pedals. You dont want no slippage on the kick pedals , that you skip the beats. Do your double bass drumming rolls very slowly at first until you master them down. Then, once you have master that at this easy level...then you slowly speed it up to the next medium tempo. Then...after you master that medium level . Then you can go for the super fast double bass patterns. You have to conquer each level of double bass drumming speed, one level at a time. You can't just floor it and expect it flow so fast. It took me so many years till I finally play full throttle double bass drumming at lightning speed without slipping on the kick pedals. I can play like Dave Lombardo...and still keep it up. It's just like driving a car. You don't just pop the clutch and kick it in 5th gear racing off the starting line. You start with 1st gear first, then 2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear and then...you drop the clutch in 5th gear and race on through. Hope this helped you. Good luck and keep on drumming.
