Today's Discussion

I've been hearing great things about the Dr. Brown baby bottles. What do you guys think?
What are some personal opinions. And did you just start out with the Dr. Brown bottles or did you only get them due to fussiness or another reason and did it seem to help with what was wrong? Just curious!!

Okay, let me tell you. I tried every bottle, and this one last! I absolutely loved it. My son had colic up until I bought the bottles. It helped tremendously. It was a hassle to clean but better than having my little guy having tummy problems and keeping me awake. = ) I'm on my second, I'm going to breastfeed BUT I'm keep the bottles for later = ) He he. After doing some research I saw on alot of the review sites that alot of babies would not take those bottles. It seems the "fancier" the bottle, the most waste of money it is. Check out www.babiesrus.com and you can look up items and see reviews and comments.

I got it because my baby had really bad gas and didn't seem to make a difference but a lot of people swear by them. I guess it just depends on the baby :]

They come with about 4 parts to clean and to assemble when feeding time comes. If your baby has problems with gas and things like that usually I would recommend them. I didn't notice any air bubbles when my daughter drank from them. But if you don't have problems with that I don't think spending the extra money is necessary if you don't have it. When I used another kind she did the exact same. So I didn't really care. It is really up to your baby.

I got them after discovering my son had reflux. Avent bottles were no good. After doing some research on different bottles I figured I would try Dr Browns. I do think they made a difference as that tube pulls the air out, and made it less likely for my son to continue chucking up for hours after his feeds.

We tried several bottles in the beginning. My daughter loved Dr. Brown's the best and they seemed to help with her stomach problems. She seemed to be a much more content baby after we started them. Yes, they are a bit of a pain to clean. But if your baby cries less because of using them you too will realize that it is worth it.
