Anyone else switch from Avent to Dr. Browns bottles? Were you happy with the results?
I am using Avent with my 3 week old but I find she's getting a lot of air from them. I am thinking of buying one Dr browns bottle to try out and see if they work better. Anyone else switch from Avent to Dr. Browns? Were you happy with the results?

I had all kinds of bottles before the baby was born and several, including the avent bottles, were supposed to help with gas, but didn't atall. Using Dr. Brown's bottles we saw a difference immediately. Our son has gas issues, but it is much much better with these bottles. I highly recommend them.

I tried both of them but then settled on Playtex Drop Ins. The reason my son hated both of them was because he hated the silicone nipples in general and Playtex has both silicone and latex. The drop ins are great because you squeeze the bags to get out all the air and it's also a lot easier to clean than Dr. Brown's!

My son uses Playtex vent-air bottles , I never tried him on anything else . They work great

I use Dr. Browns and love them! My son doesn't get too much air. Though I make it a point to burp him after every ounce. My sister uses avent with her daughter and they haven't had any problems with gass. I wish I could help you with the switch. The only thing I can say is just to buy the bottles and try them. You may find though problems though that the baby may not like the switch with the nipple. They grow used to things so it is hard to change something like that.

My son had reflux and Dr. Browns bottles were a miracle! He stopped spitting up as much, and rarely ever even burped. there just wasn't any gas bubbles to get rid of. They are a pain to clean, but if you have a dishwasher you can throw all the parts in a dishwasher basket and skip all the washing.

I love Dr. Browns! My baby had reflux horribly-we tried zantac, bethanocol, and many formulas before we figured out the bottle made the biggest difference.

I didn't use Avent , but I did use Dr. Browns first and loved them. They were great!!! My daughter did not spit up much with this bottle.

I used the platex drop ins and the avent. My daughter had horrible gas that would make her have painful screaming episodes. They even changed her formula thinking that was it...mylicon made no difference. One day when she was about 4 weeks old I bought 1 Dr. Brown bottle @ Wal-Mart just to try it. I used it that night and noticed an immediate difference. Yes, she still gets a little gassy, but BIG TIME improvement. I now have like, 15 of these bottles. She smiles after feeding now instead of screaming. If you read the reviews on epinions.com people like them but hate the fact that there are all those parts. Please. There is like, 2 extra parts and just throw them in the dishwasher basket. Even hand washing them is not a big deal if it helps settle those belly pains like it did for my daugher. Buy one and see if you like it!
