What's wrong with aspen? Or coconut husk? Aspen isn't that much but like all beddings as to be replaced(supposed to be once a month). I like reptile carpet because you don't have to replace it and is REALLY easy to clean. Buy normal bedding that says reptile frendly or something Don't risk it

I'm not entirely certain, but I believe pine mulch is poisonous to reptiles in general. I believe it would probably be better to not risk using it. Cypress mulch, on the other hand, is fine to use, and it's cheaper, and available at Lowe's and similar stores.

Please do not use pine bedding. It truly is not even recommended for hamsters, rats, etc. The aromatic oils can cause respiratory infections. You are much better off just using plain old paper towels, news papers, butcher paper, tile, etc. I use paper towels and clean my tanks out once or twice a week depending how quickly it gets dirty. It takes me a max of 20-30 minutes to completely disinfect and re-set my tank and decor. I do that weekly or bi-weekly and all the other times I just rinse my branches and replace the paper towels which takes maybe 10 minutes. It's so easy and guaranteed no impaction, no dust, no unnecessary smells, etc. Good luck.
