Today's Discussion

why do dragonflies appear to me at very important times in my life?
A dragonfly appeared right before a chance meeting with a future boyfriend, there was a poster of a dragonfly on the ceiling during a surgery I had, my husband's brother and his wife have dragon fly towels, the street of a brand new home my husband and I wanted to buy was named "Dragon Fly Creek Avenue". Dragon Flies appear to me at life changing moments. What does this mean? My husband and I looked at the name of the street AFTER we decided we wanted to buy the house.

Things appearing to you over and over again usually means good things, maybe a new change, (such as your bf, and the street). But it is a good thing, for me it is the number 76 which often appears at certain times of my life, I dont quite know what it means with individual symbols, animals, or numbers. But I know it's a good thing :)

I think its somethin related to philosophy, u know! U may have been the queen of dragonflies. Sounds wierd? Well, it is..! U never know. Even I see the color 'purple' when I m going to b happy in future. Everytime....When I c purple, I understand that something good's gonna happen. It freaks me out sometimes, but I like that feeling, I dont know y! N also, when I think about somethin randomly it actually takes place within 3 days! Many a times, believe me...!I thought I was the only one feelin that way, but I m happy I found another....

You seem to notice dragonflies at some important times. Yet you can probably identify many other times that were very important in your life, where you didn't notice a dragonfly. This alone does not answer your question, as it is still possible that a dragonfly may have been the most commonly noticed object in common among all the important events in your life. This could suggest that your interest in dragonflies exists outside any connection with the important events, but that your concentration and observation is sharper during important events, as is your memory of what you observe. Since you are attuned to dragonflies, you naturally notice them, and remember noticing them, more often during important periods of time, when your powers of observation are at a high point. In short, adrenaline or other chemical or hormone is allowing you to notice and retain information you might normally miss.

It means whatever you want it to mean.

Clearly at some point you were bitten by a gamma-irradiated dragonfly, leaving you with the uncanny ability to, um, see them around sometimes. I don't know, honestly, it could be anything from coincidence to "divine intervention." But, according to a recent (2 seconds ago) google search, dragonflies symbolize "maturity and depth of character," "power and poise," and the "defeat of self-created illusions." So that can't be all bad.
